Nearly the entire Connecticut Supreme Court has resigned from the state association of judges, an action prompted at least in part by the lack of support the group gave to Justice Andrew McDonald’s nomination for chief justice, which failed last month in the state Senate. Five of the current six members quit the Connecticut Judges Association, a collegial group which sponsors a scholarship, but primarily lobbies for judges’ pay raises in the Capitol.
