A pavement marking project will close some lanes on some key Fairfield County roads over the next few weeks. The state Department of Transportation says “the work will be performed utilizing a moving operation with intermittent closures of lanes to complete this work. Please use caution around this operation as these vehicles will be moving slower than posted speeds.” The work schedule for this project is on 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Sunday - Thursday evenings). Segments of the following routes are included in this project: Route 25 in Trumbull and Monroe, Route 53 in Norwalk, Route 53 in Weston, Route 59 in Easton and Monroe, Route 135 in Fairfield, Route 136 in Westport, and Route 732 in Fairfield.
