A 34-year-old Bridgeport man who worked at a Hamden car dealership as its finance manager, has been arrested for allegedly stealing $80,000 from the business. Last November, Hamden police responded to Partyka Chevrolet on Skiff Street on the report of embezzlement. “Investigation revealed that Finance Manager Jevene Wright stole approximately $80,000.00 from the car dealership,” Capt. Ronald Smith said in a release. “Customers provided Wright with cash or personal checks to make purchases. Wright instructed customers to leave the ‘pay to the order’ portion of their checks blank. He would then ‘fill in his name’ and deposit the proceeds into his personal bank account.
