Mayor Joe Ganim encouraged residents to turn out at these “open discussions”, scheduled for noon and 6 p.m. in City Hall on Lyon Terrace, to share their views on what Connecticut’s largest city needs in its next top cop. “This is a very important position within our city’s leadership,” Ganim said Monday in a statement. “I am encouraging all residents and members of our clergy and community groups to participate in this process. ... It is important for everyone to have their voice heard.
