BRIDGEPORT — In past years, Giovanna Ramos, Madison School’s vice principal came to City Council budget hearings to plead for the jobs of teachers, kindergarten aides, literacy coaches, school counselors and home school coordinators to be saved. “Unfortunately, all of these positions are now gone from Madison School,” said Ramos. Tuesday she stood at the podium in city council chambers to plead for her own job. Unless the district gets an infusion of $13 million in extra funding, assistant principals at schools of other 500 students are one of many positions slated to be eliminated in the district. Madison school is at 496 students.
