WESTPORT — Two town residents face charges after an anonymous source told police they were growing marijuana out of their home, Lt. Eric Woods said. Ricardo Tavares, 46, and Valonia Tavares, 51, were arrested and charged Wednesday following the execution of a search warrant. Ricardo Tavares was charged with risk of injury to a child. He was a released on a $5,000 non-surety bond. Valonia Tavares was charged with operation of a drug factory, cultivating marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and risk of injury to a child. She was held on a $50,000 bond.
