DERBY — Several neighboring towns sent firefighters to help Derby battle a large brush fire late Saturday afternoon. The fire was initially reported around 4:30 p.m. Shortly after 5 p.m., Derby fire officials said crews were on scene for a large brush fire in Osbornedale State Park, 555 Roosevelt Drive. Several fire units from Seymour, Beacon Falls, Bethany and Woodbridge responded to the brush fire to help. Seymour fire officials said it was a 4-acre brush fire.
