FAIRFIELD — Residents and their children should break out the fishing poles for next Saturday’s trout fishing derby in town. The derby will take place at Gould Manor Park, 740 Holland Hill Road, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The free event is for kids ages 3 to 15. Prizes will be awarded for the largest and smallest trouts caught. The event, hosted by Fairfield’s Police Athletic League, was coordinated by Officer Scott Sudora.
