BRIDGEPORT — A pitbull was injured after being shot in response to a domestic violence call in Bridgeport on Tuesday night, city officials said. Animal control officers were called to 127 Polk Street following reports of a dog attacking a man. The man was taken to Bridgeport Hospital and later taken into custody by police because of an active warrant for his arrest.
