A 43-year-old Oxford man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Naugatuck on Monday. The crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. on Gunntown Road in the area of Towantic Hill Road, near the Oxford town line. Killed in the crash was Daniel Paul Lucas. Naugatuck police say Lucas was the driver of a 1997 Honda Civic. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The other vehicle involved in the crash was a 2006 Jeep Liberty driven by Alexander Oneschuk, 71, of Naugatuck. Oneshuk sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated and released from a local hospital The Naugatuck Valley Regional Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision and circumstances leading up to the collision.
