BRIDGEPORT — Officials suspect someone might have intentionally set a building on fire Sunday morning. The fire started just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the 1367 Reservoir Avenue home. When crews arrived, the fire was on the outside of the building, but threatening to spread inside the home. Crews worked quickly to contain the damage to the outside, Deputy Chief Ron Rolfe said. No one was injured, he said. But the fire marshal division and police are investigating the fire as “suspicious” after crews found evidence that suggests the fire was started on purpose, Rolfe said. Rolfe said no one was home when the fire started.
