After heavy rain over the weekend, we’ll have a couple of days of dry conditions. “Dry and unseasonably mild weather will return for the start of the work week as high pressure builds in,” the National Weather Service says. “Afternoon high temperature will likely run 10 to 15 degrees above normal through Wednesday. The high will slide off the coast on Wednesday, and a strong low pressure system may impact the area late this week.” Rainfall totals from the weekend included more than an inch of rain in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Ansonia, Milford and Monroe. Highest totals were in the Cheshire area with more than 1.50 inches of rain. The NWS says a nor’aster is possible late Thursday into Saturday.
