TRUMBULL — Emergency Medical Services presented six Trumbull police officers with the Life Saving Award, honoring them for their work as first responders in four medical emergencies last year. EMS Director Joseph Laucella presented the awards to officers Kyle Siljamaki, Jack Moramarco, Robert Lee, Quinn Gagstetter, Thomas Dzurenda and Joseph Dzurenda, commending their fast responses that saved the lives of four people, according to a statement from the police department. The incidents, which occurred in May, July, September and October, involved people who went into cardiac arrest and stopped breathing. The officers performed CPR and used a portable AED before emergency services took them to local hospitals.
