Police: Man stole wallets from Derby thrift store employees

DERBY — Police are looking to identify a man they said stole two wallets from employees at a thrift store in the city Monday. Wednesday, police released photos of the suspect. Surveillance footage showed the suspect around 1:50 p.m. Monday at the Saint Vincent DePaul thrift store at 237 Roosevelt Drive. The footage showed the man go behind the register counter and reach into the employees’ unattended purses, police said. The suspect left the scene in a silver Chevrolet with Pennsylvania registration plates, police said. Anyone with information can contact Derby Police Department at 203-735-7811.
