MILFORD — Police are asking the public for information connected to a string of home burglaries in Milford. There have been about 12 residential burglaries all over the town in the past month, according to a tweet from the Milford Police Department. In most cases, a large rock was thrown through glass in the back of the residence to gain entry into the home between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. In one instance, a propane tank was thrown through glass, according to Public Information Officer Mike DeVito. “The peculiar thing is it’s not common for burglaries to occur during the late afternoon or early evening,” DeVito said, adding that the homes had been unoccupied during the burglaries. The latest incident occurred on Monday near Cedarhurst Lane.
