State residents looking to get criminal history records from the Connecticut State Police should expect to see a change in fees starting Dec. 1. Checks should be made payable to Treasurer — State of CT. Any fees received, postmarked on or after Dec. 1 that aren’t in accordance with the fee change will be returned. The fee for a name change search is $36. With this rate, a person will be provided with a yes or no on the name search. For a full criminal history connected to that name, a different request has to be submitted. A person will pay $75 for a criminal history record information search. This request and fee will give someone a full criminal history record for someone, if applicable.
