For the next six weeks, expect some lane closures on I-95 in Stamford, the state Department of Transportation says. The closures of some northbound and southbound lanes, along with the highway’s shoulders, will be “occasional” between Exits 8 and 9. The closures that began Wednesday, are necessay for ongoing work to rehabilitate a bridge over the Metro-North tracks. Work on the bridge is planned between 7 a.m. and 5 a.m. The project is expected to be completed in early 2018.
