Gunshot wound sends man to hospital in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT — A gunshot wound to the shin sent a man to Bridgeport Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Sunday morning . Police spokesman Av Harris said the shooting took place around 11:30 a.m. at Spring and East Main Streets. An adult male victim was reportedly standing by the front driver’s side of a car that was parked facing west on Spring Street. Harris said an unknown person walking westbound on Spring Street fired three shots at the victim, who was struck in the right shin. There were no shell casings left at the scene. A cell phone and blood spots were located at the scene and was photographed. The victim was transported by private vehicle to Bridgeport Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
