Final leaf pick-up of the season in Fairfield planned for Dec. 11

FAIRFIELD — Since there are still a good amount of leaves on the trees this season, the final week of leaf pick-up will be delayed a week. The fourth and final leaf pickup will take place during the week of Dec. 11. This change means there will be no leaf pick-up during the week of Dec. 4. In order for leaves to be picked up during the week of Dec. 11, bags must be curbside by 6 a.m. that day. The town provides a four-week leaf collection for all neighborhoods outside Greenfield Hill. There is no pick-up scheduled during the week of Thanksgiving to let residents have extra time to rake up their leaves. The fourth week of pick-up is always determined based on weather conditions and leaf fall.
