A 22-year-old Darien woman was seriously injured in crash with a tractor-trailer truck in Hamden on Friday afternoon. Police, who have not released the woman’s name, said the accident happened around 1 p.m. in the area of Whitney Avenue and Lovig Lane. “A preliminary investigation has revealed that a vehicle, which was operated by a 22-year-old Darien woman, crossed the center divider line and collided with a tractor trailer,” said Capt. Ronald Smith said. “The Hamden Fire Department responded and extricated her from her vehicle.
